After analyzing the experimental data, American scientists made the following conclusion: pleasant and calm musical melodies strengthen the heart muscle. Volunteers participating in the study were divided into two groups. Respondents from the first listened to quiet and cheerful music, while participants from the second listened to alarming and loud music.

It turned out that when listening to musical compositions of different loudness and tonality, people feel emotions that affect the endothelium in different ways (the layer of cells that covers the inner segment of the lymphatic and blood vessels, heart cavities). The endothelium combines the substances responsible for the coordination of blood flow, control of blood coagulation and contractile activity of the heart. In other words, endothelium has a direct effect on the functioning of the cardiovascular system.

People who listened to calm music showed vasodilatation. But for listeners of anxious and loud music, this effect was not recorded. In addition to a positive effect on the heart, music is an excellent cure for high blood pressure. People suffering from hypertension, daily listening to relaxing compositions can significantly lower the pressure, and the result is fixed for a long time.

Music helps to dull the pain of headaches and migraines. It is indispensable in the recovery period after a heart attack. A regular dose of your favorite jazz, pop or classical music can quickly return your attention spans and verbal memory.
