Scientists have found on paper for printing checks a chemical compound that adversely affects the action of the human endocrine system and disrupts the body's metabolism. American experts consider it necessary to draw the attention of the entire world community to this find. A substance called bisphenol-A significantly increases the risk of developing diabetes and obesity. It has been established that isolated contact with such a substance will not cause any harm to the body, however cashiers are at risk of developing various metabolic disorders.

The experiments aimed at studying the ingress of this substance into the body turned out to be rather frightening: even after washing hands, due to contact with a check, bisphenol-A was found in the blood in most cases. Curiously, not all scientists consider the effect of this chemical compound dangerous for the body. In particular, Finnish experts dispute the harm of bisphenol-A, arguing that cashiers do not risk anything while being in constant contact with checks.
