Also for the cover you will need a zipper through which it will be worn on the main bag with filler and removed. As a rule, the size of a zipper is determined by the complexity of the product and is approximately equal to 60-110 cm in length. The creators of the chairs in the form of a bag offer many forms. Here are a few of them.
Bucket Chair
For this model of chair, details of a special shape are cut out, namely two circles and a rectangle with a semicircular recess on the long side. This chair resembles a drop in its shape. For work, you need a strong fabric for the cover, an internal fabric for the bag, a strong thread, zipper and filler.
Cut the details from the two types of fabric according to the following pattern, where the wedges that are similar to the petals are the sides of the chair, and the large and small hexagon are the top and base, respectively. The width of one side wedge, when viewed from top to bottom: 20 × 50 × 40 cm., And height 130 cm. Accordingly, the faces of the upper hexagon are 20 cm., And the bottom 40 cm. Sew the cut wedges together along the side line. To do this, take two parts, fold them facing each other and sew only along one edge. Then you can sew the upper hexagon, folding it along the edges with the front side inward. Sew the bottom hexagon in the same way as the top, but do not sew the sixth face.
Through the resulting pocket, turn the chair to the front side and straighten the corners. If you sewed the inner bag, then fill the chair with filler and stitch the remaining edge, wrapping the cut inside the chair. You can also sew the side with a strong blind seam manually. Do not overtighten the thread, otherwise wrinkles may appear.
After stitching exactly the same chair from the front fabric, sew a zipper into the non-stitched edge, through which the cover from the chair can be removed for washing or replacement. Put the resulting cover on the filler bag and fasten the zipper.
At the top or side of the chair, you can sew a loop from the same fabric from which the cover is made. For it you can lift or carry the chair.
Large soccer ball bean bag chair
For this product, it is necessary to cut parts in the form of equilateral hexagons and pentagons with a length of one edge of 22 cm. The number of hexagons is 20 pcs., And the number of pentagons is 12 pcs. You can diversify the palette and for each type of detail take your own fabric color. In order to sew all the details into a whole ball, a special scheme is required. Details are stitched together in a long line with branches, which are further shortened together.
