The secret of the poison that helps fight thrombosis, stored under seven locks in Asian countries, is finally revealed. The substance was found in venom of a pit viper, which is extremely dangerous for humans. Just one bite of this snake is fatal in just a minute. A drug developed on the basis of this poison is extremely effective in the fight against thrombosis. Part of the drug, joining platelets, prevents them from sticking together and thus form blood clots.

Animal experiments have shown the effectiveness of this medicine, which made it possible to test the resulting product in humans. They were given an intravenous dose of the drug, after which they were monitored once by the body's response: blood coagulation during vascular puncture. Observations showed that although bleeding did not increase, blood clots did not form. All this gives a very real reason to believe that this tool can help in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases associated, in particular, with a violation of the blood supply to the heart.
