In August, Orthodox believers of Russia celebrate the feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord and the Apple Savior. By this date, summer usually diminishes, which the ancestors were symbolically perceived as a farewell of the warm season and the entry into the power of autumn and winter. Beliefs and signs of Apple Savior
To celebrate the harvest festival in accordance with the traditions is a special art. There is a whole set of rules about what can and cannot be done on this day. Let's start with the prohibitions.

- To bother about the house - any duties related to the household, if they are not related to cooking or harvesting, are left for a time. What exactly you can not do is knitting, embroidery, construction and repair work. Ancestors especially forbidden sewing on the Apple Savior, because it was believed that it would lead to long tears in the future;
- Quarrel with insects - swatting or even crashing on a fly on a harvest festival would be a strong sin. But if a fly lands on hand twice, then luck will not turn away from you for a whole year;
- Abusing (all) - immoderate fun, eating and drinking large amounts of alcohol is regarded as unacceptable behavior, because at this moment there is still Ouspensky fasting.
Particularly censured on the day of the Savior is a showdown, quarrels and conflicts with close people and friends. It is unacceptable to wish unhappiness to any person, even if he caused you a strong offense. But the prayer for the Savior Apple is necessary if you want to celebrate the holiday according to Orthodox traditions.
What are the signs of the harvest festival? We list the main ones:
- If you treat a poor man with an apple, the whole next year you will be showered with abundance. A sign acts in the opposite direction: not to see a single beggar on the day of the Savior is a bad sign;
- In Apple Spas they harvest not only fruits, but also legumes - in particular, peas. To strengthen your health, you need to eat at least one apple in honey. Peas are not consecrated in the church, but their harvest symbolizes life in prosperity over the next 12 months;

- Folk tradition says that cereals that have not been removed to the Apple Savior, will certainly spoil;
- In Russia, it was customary to stock up on Spas with sleeves for work in the field or garden. The special meaning is not a sign;
- The Slavs believed that the weather holding on the day of the Savior would be mirrored in half a year - in January.
Rites and Conspiracies
During Apple Spas, it is effective to conduct various magical rituals and conspiracies. Particularly effective will be performed on this day ceremonies to attract love and wealth.
Plot for material abundance
Stock up on fresh apples from the current crop. Wrap one fruit in a new nightie and pronounce at least seven times:
"New clothes and rubles I call upon myself, I wish everyone well."

The Christian religion considers prayers delivered at the Transfiguration of the Lord filled with the highest grace and light. The festival itself is the personification of the acceptance and understanding of the faith of Christ. To properly mark Apple Saved, do this:
- In the morning, visit the church service, where you need to consecrate what was harvested as a harvest. You can bring not only apples, but also natural honey, grapes, pears, plums, bunches of rye or wheat;
- On arrival home, break the apple slice dipped in honey. Take another meal only after that. Talking does not mean gluttony: food served lean, despite the holiday, as the Orthodox continue to fast. The best option for the holiday table is fresh or thermally processed (baked, fried, boiled) apples;
